Yet another little modern dream space, the Dubrovka Studio Apartment in Moscow, Russia was developed by Za Bor Architects. This compact, 614 square-foot flat is on an upper floor in a new residential developing overlooking the city, and effortlessly bucks all confines, becoming an open and airy place to dwell.
Floor-to-ceiling windows draped with breezy sheers filter all-natural light into the minimalist studio which is treated with a neutral palette of white, grey and golden-beige wood tones. Materials are kept clean and basic in timber, steel and bold white lacquer.
To divide the living and sleeping places, the architect inserted a completely-retractable sliding partition featuring a playful, abstract giraffe bearing orange-yellow and black geometric swirls set against higher-gloss white. It is hard to discern whether or not the apartment is much more alluring with this movable wall in location or opened–love that!
What you see in this sharply-developed kitchen could function just as nicely in a sprawling luxury residence as it does in this cozy apartment. A white-on-white back wall of gleaming cabinetry, cooktop, refrigerator and storage sets the backdrop for the center island, a wood-block base topped with a thick, zig-zag of steel. This counter is downright mesmerizing, as the specific way the metal was completed seems to mimic raw concrete. At first glance, 1 can’t be as well sure no matter whether this customized piece is a modern day sculpture or functional addition to the interiors. In this case, it’s each!
The bedroom is a serene nest with creamy white carpeting and minimal furnishings consisting of a wooden platform bed and two contemporary finish-tables. A convex mirror is constructed into the wall, allowing more light to bounce within this intimate space. A black-wired silhouette of a giraffe and a hare create a whimsical visual. A white curtain leads to the modern bathroom, which is fitted with white square tiles, a soaking tub and oval basin.
The Dubrovka Studio is a small modern day dream apartment, with such out-of-the-box design and style concepts that you cannot help but really feel this elegant, urban flat is larger than its measurements dictate.
