The centerpiece of Pizzeria Disco Volante in Vienna is a wood-fired pizza oven that looks like a giant disco ball. Covered in hundreds of tiny mirrored tiles, the spherical pizza oven is positioned amidst the dining location and is anchored to a central chimney that permits it pivot from its centre. In the evenings, when the lights are dimmed and a variety of coloured spotlights are directed onto the oven, it causes scores of pink, green and blue dots to flood across the white walls and ceilings. It was designed and constructed by a group of architects and designers from the collective Madame Mohr in Vienna.
