Wilson Architects has completed the activity of renovating the Sunshine Beach Home, a contemporary dream residence situated on a sloped internet site in the seaside area of Noosa, Queensland, Australia.
Retaining the existing character of the residence was essential to the owners, so the major extension of the new outside room was made to transition seamlessly from the original structure. This below-air excellent space is now the core of the residence, connecting the major living spaces to the sleeping areas. A series of white roofs and geometric-patterned screens comprise this new zone, which is protected from each harsh sunlight and winds drifting off the coastline. Dark wood decking adds an earthy appeal mirroring the nature on the other side of these walls.
