Byron and Lizelle’s is the fairytale portrayal of a happy-ever-following couple. They met while studying and decided to tie the knot soon after multiple years of studies. The wedding took spot in the lovilee Western Cape and was a bright and cheery yellow affair.
How did you meet?
Our varsity hostels (Sonop Ladieshostel and Helshoogte Mens hostel) did rag with each other in 2006, when we were each in our very first year. We actually enjoyed looking for our venue – we wanted to get married at a venue with lots of greenery and vines. We used this as an excuse to check out a number of wine farms and attended a variety of wine tastings. We have been really lucky to have Izandi Serdyn as our wedding coordinator. She was brilliant and genuinely pulled everything collectively completely. My sister (Trudi Turner) often tends to make cakes, cupcakes and cookies for weddings and birthdays and assisted with the wedding cookies and desserts.
What is Byron’s strengths?
Byron is the ideal instance of a “mens-mens” – he easily interacts, is not biased, really loyal, down-to-earth, dependable and talks the hind-leg off a donkey!
He is also an absolute gentleman, he will constantly ensure that I am comfortable, make sure that I am warm and bring me one thing to drink at residence or away. He will also very easily give a stranger help when seeing them doing heavy lifting.
What aspects of Lizelle do you love?
