Residing in the coastal town of Bisceglie, Italy, Villa di Gioia is a modern day dream home crafted by the talented architect Pedone Working. The white-on-white minimalist structure functions two principal volumes surrounding a central terrace, and is nestled perfectly within its organic seaside setting.
From the modest entrance gate, wide steps type a bridge, jutting gracefully from the sloped terrain and descending to the home’s entrance off the major patio. The alternating white boxes are elegantly injected with a glass zone on the ground floor which houses the open living location. A linear water feature runs directly underneath this glassed-in region, contributing a soothing power to the facade. This special visual strategy to the home provokes an anticipation of the basic splendor that awaits inside.
Passive energies were interwoven into the home’s program including a photovoltaic roof method, heat pump integration and clever architectural design offering geometric openings for both ample light and shading.
Interiors are resplendent in white, which nearly appears to glow as the light is refracted throughout the day. Furnishings are decidedly modern, although very spare, as this home beholds a bare beauty not requiring significantly a lot more. Plentiful glazing, high ceilings and a basic palette of white-and-wood keeps the vibe light and airy, whilst ruby reds and navy blues add polish.
