Architekten Stein Hemmes Wirtz created +Energy House, a modern residence positioned in Farschweiler, Germany, that perfectly adapts to the irregular sloping land. The uncommon constructing line and the uncommon roof shape define are the components that define the house. The modern method towards shaping and the components make it stand out. The exterior is totally paved with vertical laminated wooden panels. This tends to make it both, eco-friendly and welcoming. A wooden structure (or “wrapped” in wood) is significantly less rigid than a concrete house. No glue was employed in defining the residence’s wooden exterior. The pollution-totally free construction was constructed from ecological developing supplies and it fits the passive house common.

The back of the home, raised above the street level, unveils a transparent environment. The regular walls have been replaced by floor-to-ceiling glass panels, enabling the light to heat up the interior. A ventilation system with heat recovery was integrated in the home’s program. As a consequence, the place is warm, welcoming and cozy. “The most spectacular view opens up a huge window to the north, what was the greatest challenge in terms of passive house building.”
