We were taken with the simple integrity of The Murray Table, brought to our attention by Philadelphia design and style studio Edgewood. Conceived by Edgewood founders George Dubinsky and David Short, the table’s graceful form reflects the designers’ esthetic philosophy of “direct design,” which dispenses with superfluous specifics in favor of only vital elements. The base, a module of 3 linear triangles, is forged in lustrous bronze, and supports a beautifully finished circular table best, constructed from locally sourced American cherry. We like The Murray Table’s modest footprint—and its rosy, burnished beauty has us hoping that Dubinsky and Brief have far more bronze and cherry in reserve.
