The Bond Street Loft in the East Village in Lower Manhattan plays up modernism with elegant luxe. The stylish spaces made by Axis Mundi still stay fairly functional.
With an open strategy, the contemporary dream apartment is as equally an excellent spot for social gatherings as it is for comfortable and spacious living. Draped in tonal greys and creams, the effect is soothing, even understated.
Smokey-hued hardwood floors are gorgeous and expand throughout this property. Huge textured concrete tiles cover the walls, while some are left white and hung with eclectic artwork. Even though completely modern, some of the art is demure while a focal piece in the dining space pops with playful colour. Roman support columns contribute character while generating a cool contrast amongst modern and classic.
The household room is light-filled and airy, with a surround of full volume windows and open shelving. A plush modern sectional is adorned with throw pillows and sits upon a soft silvery rug. Geometric coffee tables in black add angular contrast, although a chrome-framed armchair is draped with white animal fur.
Much more minimalist in design and style, the adjacent living room attributes pale charcoal linen sofas and a little white tulip side table. A floor lamp with oversize white drum shade rests next to a molded upholstered side chair.
The dining space is fabulous with a massive, sleek wood table and double benches on each and every side–love a very good bench design when we see one particular! Finish chairs are reverse-hued leather, although the chandelier consists of a cascade of effervescent glass bubbles.
The connected kitchen is downright dreamy by New York standards. Higher-gloss flat panel cabinetry is a two-toned linear mix of medium-slate and snow white. A stainless steel backsplash completely gleams, although the thick black countertop pierced with a column adds intrigue to this striking culinary space.
Bathrooms are resplendent in taupe against white. A completely glazed, walk-in shower is clad in rectangular glass tiles and characteristics its own private tub. One more spa bathroom is an oasis with a freeform soaking tub and framed piece of art perched above it.
A modern dream apartment, the Bond Street Loft is awash in a wealthy monochromatic palette injected with sophisticated urban style.
