It might be a prime example of finding a resolution for a dilemma that doesn’t actually exist, but Lime-Pocket, designed by Japanese studio Nendo for the Bombay Sapphire gin brand, is a fanciful interest-getter. Capitalizing on the brand’s instantly recognizable blue bottle, Nendo developed a blue silicone ‘jacket’ for the wedge of lime that accompanies gin-laced drinks—supplying a firm grip for correct squeezing even though also maintaining fingers clean. The genuine goal, though is a bit much more calculating. “Since most spirits are clear, it is usually challenging to promote the brand used in a specific cocktail. The lime-pocket is intended to resolve this issue, stylishly and practically also.”
